Journeyman Skills
With this new age of magic and innovation, new skills are required to keep up with the changing world. It is up to you to decide what you want to specialize in, as well as how you think it will help you stem the tides.
Journeyman Skills
During character creation, or at the discretion of the DM, you may replace one of your skill proficiencies for one Journeyman skill. A character can only have one Journeyman skill at any given time, and training for another one will replace any currently held one. You automatically gain proficiency with this skill, and can gain the benefits of "Jack of All Trades". The following Journeyman skills, including their associated skill modifier and affected abilities, are available:- Dungeoneering (DEX): Used to gather knowledge about an underground environment or to recognize an underground hazard or clue.
- Mechanics (INT): Creation of mechanical devices, including the care and maintenance of Kinetic Engines.
- The Old Ways (WIS): Behaves similar to the Arcane skill, but specifically for ancient magics. An Old Ways skill check can be attempted with the Arcane skill, however, it will be completed at a disadvantage.
- Piloting (DEX): Maneuvering mechanical vehicles, from Pelican Ornithopters to Autocarts. A Piloting skill check can be attempted with the Animal Handling skill, however, it will be completed at a disadvantage.
