Church of Thalor
The Church is an influential organization within Estalia. Dedicated to the worship of Thalor, the Church is the largest organized religion along the western coast of Wyrring.
The Church is founded on tenets of order and predetermined destinies. They teach that each person has a special place in The Grand Plan which they should strive to achieve. They are staunch traditionalists, and have vehemently opposed progressive movements.
Churches for Thalor can be found in most towns in Estalia, ranging from Grand cathedrals in major cities to small chapels. Each place of worship is maintained by a minister, known as a "Father", despite it being a gender-neutral title.
Although officially the Estalian Government maintains the separation of church and state, the church continues to hold substantial influence over the government. Due to the widespread adoption of the faith, many government officials follow the teachings of the church, and either consciously or subconsciously weave it into their work. Additionally, the Church has strong bonds with various organizations - such as the House of Order - from having shared values. Many of the church's tenets are baked into the laws and customs of Estalia.
