Goroth Granhold was born 3100 -AS- in Delgoth. He was raised in Delgoth with his brothers. Magnus Granhold put a lot of pressure on his sons to prove themselves. In order to do this Goroth Granhold left Ixeom in 3115 -AS- at the age of 15. He got on a ship and sailed to Lypel. Goroth was aiming to prove himself to his father by travelling the world to better himself as a person.
Goroth ended up as a fighter at the Castonian Gladiatorial Arena. During his time here Goroth trained hard to better himself as a warrior. He fought in hundreds of battle and earned a fierce reputation. Goroth decided it was time to live Castion, and he was joined by many of the gladiators who respected him because of his combat ability. The group travelled to Kanfall. Here Goroth became friends Artarius Fangron, leader of the Fangrons and Lord of Lagus. Goroth met and fell in love with Artarius' daughter Nilea Fangron. The pair got married and spent many months at Lagus. Artarius informed Goroth of Magnus's rebellion against Meral-Yene Periter. Goroth decides to return to Ixeom and assist his father. The presence of the gladiators makes Magnus uneasy and he is very displeased with Goroth for marrying the daughter of Artarius Fangron, who Magnus has spent many years fighting against.

During the Second Battle of Narrathar - 39th Maryen 3132 -AS-, Goroth enters a brutal combat with his father. The two clash and are like two unstoppable titans crashing into each other. Their fight rages and Magnus manages to gouge out Goroth's right eye. This sends Goroth into a fit of rage. Hammering blows upon his father. Magnus had no chance to counter in the storm of hits that Goroth rained upon him. Magnus was knocked to his knees, and with a mighty scream Goroth kneed his father in the face so hard that it split Magnus's helmet open. This led to an exposed weakness that Goroth used to kill his father. Despite not regretting killing his father or starting the Granhold Civil war, as a sign of respect he shaved his head.

History
Goroth and Magnus constantly butt heads when Goroth returns from his travels. The two have very different ideologies which causes conflict. In late 3130 -AS- Goroth Granhold leaves Ixeom and goes to Lagus to stay with the Fangrons. During this time Magnus Garnhold sends James Gunn and James Gunn II with their army to attack Lagus. He gives the order that if Goroth sides with Fangrons that he is to be killed. Goroth kills the Gunns and returns to Ixeom with their heads. This is the event that leads to the Granhold Civil War.
