Elves
The elves are a race of beings native to the frigid Northern Frozen Aurora & the continent of Baru. Typically tall & lean, all elves have pointed ears that become more pronounced as they age. Elves have a significantly longer lifespan than elementals, but less than that of the foxes. The oldest elf, Emperor Paris Genm, is recorded as being around one hundred and ninety Celestial years in age.

History
The first of the elves originated from the Northern Frozen Aurora, as is said in the oldest elven epic, The Auroræ. Their time was known as the Era of the Great Cold. They founded a great kingdom, only remembered as 'The Great Kingdom of Nyelshara'. Nyelshara roughly translates to Ketspallko as Never-Broken. They lived in the Coldsnap Tundra, the Whalespout Geyser Fields, and the Island of Imrannoris, home to Mount Imrannoris, supposedly named for the Original Dragon who lived there, who is recorded as being named Lady of the Heat and Molten Rock Below. Their kingdom fell with the Eruption of Mount Imrannoris, when the great volcano erupted and spewed ‘Death in the Form of Ashe and Sparks and Living Rock’. This time of Raining Death and Loss of Snow was called the Era of the Rising Earth. The survivors of this disaster can be categorized into two distinct groups: the elves who carried on the traditions of Nyelshara, who are now called the Snow elves, and the elves who fled to the Landrise Mountains, building their own culture, becoming known as the Earth elves.
This latter group of elves founded the next great civilization of Baru. They called their realm the Empire of the Lost. They venerated the dead Lady of the Heat and Molten Rock Below as a god, and shunned the Snow elf survivors who eked out a living in the snow. This Empire is most often compared to a thin, blazing hot candle; burning bright but with a short life. The Empire fell shortly after the Descending of the Light, namely due to the Grassroots Revolution, spurred on by a wave of popular support for the Rebel Leaf King, Harristar Kerrick, a radical evangelist of the Celestial faith.
