Arisi Swamp
Away from the southern coast, the Arisi Swamp stretches north from the fork where the Martinho joins the Alacar. While the fringes of the Arisi are navigable, the mangrove trees grow thicker as one heads deeper into the swamp. In some places, the canopy blocks out much of the sunlight.
Snakes of all types, many poisonous, populate the Arisi, and spiders can be found in the canopy where it gets thick. Lizardfolk of all types call the Arisi home.
Stories of ancient structures half buried in the muck are shared by the swampfolk who live on the fringes of the Arisi, and many adventuring parties have entered the swamp, never to return.
