Christmas Season Midway Point

The Christmas Season Midway Point is an annual North Pole Christmas Kingdom holiday. Starting on Summer Solstice, this celebration takes place over a few days as a way to celebrate the halfway point to Christmas Eve. It ends either on Leon Day (opposite to Christmas Day and actual midway point) or the weekend following.   It truly depends on the calendar.   This holiday and its’ celebrations symbolize a transition from a normal work season to the busy season.   During these few days, all Winter Deities cease all storms and only cause the gentle falling of snow if anything at all. All of Christmas Town Central District and several other buildings shut down at this time as well until after Leon Day.  

Schedule of Events

The Annual Litha/Midsummer Ceremony of Nature and of Magic occurs on the 21st of June in the Mystic Pole Circle in the Floating Headquarters. This is when all members of Collective Congress (except between 1845 and 2020) gather to return Ancient Power to Gaia. On this day, Ancient Power’s strength is high.   The North Pole then begins celebrations inviting all members down. That night, a special dinner is served to residents and mystical visitors honoring Ancient Power and Christmas Magic. It is usually held outdoors or elsewhere. It can also be in the toy factory after 2020.   The residents (Yetis, Reindeer, Elves, Polar Horses and Polar Unicorns) re-decorate the entire village with Christmas Décor.   The 22nd and 23rd are usually reserved for the Sum-mas Arts & Décor Festival and Show. This festival allows artistic elfin painters, sculptors, and jewelry-makers a chance to show off their creations. It occurs in the Toy Factory Castle where the room is empty for the festival.   Sleighs transport people wherever for this festival. Nightly sleigh rides occur as Aurora Borealis shines in the sky.   Leon Day is a 48-hour period from 12:00 (Midnight) on the 24th to 12:00 on the 26th. It is on the morning of the 24th, a short ceremony in the Christmas Town Central District is put on so Nicholas could give the “All-Clear to Proceed Chaotically” signal honoring the transition. The few days after involve honoring the traditions set forth by Nicholas and the elves long ago.   NOTE: When Ancient Power returns, the elves craft wonderful toys to the point where warehouses fill with toys. A toy injunction is put in place leading the elves to do the first annual Extravaganzalorious. Nicholas later gives them permission to do this every year.   What is Extravaganzalorious?   NOTE: Extravaganzalorious is the first half of the year where elves create new pieces of jewelry, paintings, and sculpture. There is also furniture being made. This is where some Christmas gifts (between the elves) are made.
