The Bear Claws

The Bear Claws are a mercenary group that is growing in renown rapidly. They are, under their leader Zanderin Cliffborn, staunch defenders of equality, as they will accept anyone into their ranks with open arms regardless of their background. A member of the Bear Claws could be of noble born or have been a beggar previously, but as it doesn't matter your background on the field of battle, nor does it matter in the eyes of the Bear Claws. With Zanderin's belief of equality, he honestly see's himself as a member of the group rather than it's leader and feels that anyone could take his place should he eventually fall on the field of battle as many do...this is how ever far from the truth. The Bear Claws are strong because of their leader and because of the faith that each and everyone of them have in their leader, and with out him...the Bear Claws would not be the same. It is possible for another individual to take the mantle of leader from Zanderin should he fall...but the glory of the Bear Claws and the way they are now would most certainly perish with him.

Culture

The Bear Claws provide everyone a chance to be apart of something greater than themselves, regardless of who they are. Because of this openness to anyone regardless of who they are, the culture of individuals varies, however the thought of community is important to each and everyone of them. They believe that they belong to something greater than themselves. Each Bear Claw member is drawn to the band for one reason or another, but regardless they all are there together, fighting alongside each other and growing as individuals in a stagnant war torn continent.
