Magdrift (Mag-Drift)

Magdrift is the largest user of non-combatant airships in the entirety of Witren, as well as being one of the largest cities. Magdrift provides and produces airships for a variety of customers, from countries to nobles, and as such, charges hefty price tags. Not only do they trade in airships, but they trade in services, such as passenger ships or rush orders for trades. As such, Magdrift has embassies at most major continents, under the guild name “Trust Rust”. This city's architecture is odd in comparison to the rest of the world, with buildings lined by brass pipes and darker stone, as well as bright colored lights. Due to the nature of building airships, large hangars pepper the city. Magdrift, unlike Raftallo, makes airships without many propellers, and as such, uses a mixture of technology and magic to power the hovering devices below or behind the ships themselves.   Being non-combatant based, this city, and Trust Rust as a whole, do not produce militarized airships, and as such, any additions to airships that make them militarized end any trade routes with the organizations that did it.   Magdrift’s city layout can be annoying to navigate, as it’s designed with 3 levels of verticality. As such, the 3 levels, top to bottom, are named The Peaks, The Median, and The Foundation.

Districts

The Peaks: The peaks themselves have two districts, Administration and Industry. The Administration district houses the noble class that rule over the entirety of Magdrift, providing insight and guidance to the workers that work on the airships. Among the nobles, almost all of them work on airships themselves, or own their own hangers in the industrial district, providing different spins on the passenger ships. Due to the raging economy, most hanger owners lived in luxurious brass and glass houses, almost crystalline in nature. The Industrial district provides housing for all airship workers, and boasts four large hangers. Smaller hangers fit in between, crafting personalized airships for one or two individuals.

The Median: On the second level, this area boasts the Residential, Market, and Guard District. The residential district hosts a majority of the citizens in magdrift, as well as travelers to the brass city. The Market district offers a variety of eateries and shops, and offers odd magitech to new visitors for a pretty penny. Due to the size of Magdrift, the Median houses the Guard District for all law.

The Foundation: Because of the brass pipes that hold up the second and third levels of the city, this section has one district, primarily focusing on maintenance and upkeep of the city’s structure, as well as the sewers below. If magdrift needs to expand, the maintenance crew also manages the expansion prospects, and often helps the mining colonies in the mountains transport the materials to the top.
