Magister Raine Theirin
Raine Theirin is the current Magister of Beggars Fort. Originally she had not wanted to become the Magister, it was never a part of her life plan or goals, but after the Winter Plague most of her districts able bodied adults were left too ill to run. The previous Magister died to the plague, and since then almost nobody has ran each time, resulting in the Magisterium and the Crown having to appoint a Magister. To be fair they appoint somebody new each time unless the previous Magister decides to run, and during the past election Raine was chosen by the Magisterium.
Raine grew up as an orphan in the district living in the orphanage and settling with the knowledge that one day she would simply become a laborer of kind, unable to further her education with what little she received or pursue an apprenticeship due to her lack of practical skills. Most of her childhood was spent with her running away only to be dragged back to the orphanage after being found living on the streets. Despite her initial distaste for the job having a stable income and somewhere to live has started to rub off on her. She had never seen herself as somebody who would want to work for the well being of others, but seeing so many people suffer after the plague has led her to be quite good at the job even if it is begrudgingly.
