Personal history
Ekkilia Ellar comes from a long line of Moon Elves from the Dredarian Empire. A little less than a century ago, after Knotside had become a free city, the Ekkilia moved her family and part of their business to Knotside. Her family runs a small chain of boutiques and parlors that are present in any city with a high population of nobles or wealth. Out of all of her siblings Ekillia was chosen to open the Knotside branch, trusted to bring further success to the family and its businesses. She brought her husband and children here and ever since their boutique, The Moondrop, has prospered in Merchants Cross.
After a century of bringing in business and supplying well paying jobs to anybody with a knack for hair, makeup, sewing, or styling, Ekkilia decided the business was far enough along to run for Magister. She placed her husband and children in charge of the business, and with Ekillias popularity, and her businesses ties to so many residents in the district, she was easily elected. This is her 7th term as Magister, spread across the past 30 years as she has not ran twice in a row before. Normally she takes a break so she can 'focus on her family' in between terms, as an elf she is long lived, and not in as much of a rush as the shorter lived races to leave a mark in politics.
Education
Ekkilia has studied at the finest institutes and universities across both the Dredarian Empire and the Kingdom of Thrane. She's even finished a degree or two from the Royal Academy of Knotside regarding magic.
