The Mistrunners

The Mistrunners hide not in the shadows, but in the Ghostmists of Zevemlya, the very place that the Godking warns his enemies will find t heir ends. They can do so only because of his blood coursing through their veins. Unfortunately, as the kingdom is almost completely loyal to Galvander as such, much of their wealth is self-maintained and their resources come from wealthy allies who must remain secret for their own safety, and the safety of their families.

The Mistrunners take from merchant caravans travelling between cities in Zevemlya that think they are safe due to the sorcerers and champions in their midst. Local propaganda states that the ghosts in the mist sometimes grow too powerful for thos whose blood is not strong enough, but the 'Walkers know better. They are the secret boogeymen of the Zevemlyan merchants.

The Mistrunners are a practical group, and are careful in their missions. They are few in number, and as a result have to do a great deal of research and planning before enacting their plans. One of the most difficult aspects of the Ghostrunners is their membership. While there are any number of would-be rebels in Zevemlya, few are free to run the mists, especially due to the propaganda and molding that the kingdom focuses on its youth, especially those with the blood of the Tyrant king running through their veins.

The Ghostrunners are bloody and efficient, but in their research try to focus on merchants who are cruel, and whose losses will most harm the kingdom. They also know that by killing the sorcerers and champions guarding the trade caravans, they are sentencing those merchants to slow, lingering deaths in the ghostmists, so every task is taken with grim determination, and heavy hearts.

Structure

These are the forgotten bloodlines, those children and grandchildren of Galvander who left the fold of their forebear and fight against his tyranny. Theirs is the oath of the mists, the ghosts, and of the blood that allows them to go where no others can go in their fight against the empire of their living god.

Culture

It is a loose organizational structure, and while almost all members are God-blooded, they have a large connected group of allies in the people who see their oppression, and as such have access to many safehouses and lodgings in cities in their enemies domain.

Public Agenda

The Mistwalkers have one goal: dethrone Galvander by any means necessary short of the complete destruction of the people of Zevemlya.
