The Eye of Auralask

The moss-smothered ground sank beneath the feet of the Orc hunting party as they swept through the trees, their sound deafened by the soft earth. As they broke through the tree line they came to the shores of The Eye of Auralask. Its glassy waters broke as a fish snatched an insect from the air. The game trail they followed led right up to the water's edge and turned to the left, fresh paw prints and warm scat revealed their prey was near.   Garam halted his group of young hunters-in-training and gestured for them to examine the area around them. Some went to the footprints, others to the scat, and a few inspected the broken twigs on the bushes nearby. They regrouped and all indicated that the animal they were hunting had followed the game trail further along the shore of the lake. They used hand gestures to remain silent as they moved through the woods, not wanting to disturb the hunt or lose the element of surprise.
