The Elves

Elf

Elves are creatures blessed with longevity. They are graceful, attuned to nature, and characterized by elegance and virtue. Elves are tall and slim and beautiful and vary in color of skin and hair according to their bloodline. They are skilled in crafts and music and prefer the company of animals to people and enjoy solitude and nature. History Elves are children of the Sentinel. They followed the elven queen Laira to the eastern continent across the Siria sea, after the Battle of the Gods. Lore Elven bows are called Mente and have the best accuracy and longest range from any other bow known to history. Music was created by elves and brought to the rest of the world by a Human who traveled to the elven lands to visit his elven lover. Most elven men died during the Battle of the Four Daughters in 1990 AC in Exotia. Tribes Elves differ according to their bloodlines. This is usually seen on their hair and skin color. Sentin Elves have white skin and yellow Hair and live in forests and places rich in nature. Alaur Elves have white skin and blue hair and also live in forests and close to the ocean. Fyr Elves have gray skin and white hair and are physically stronger than most elves. They usually build their settlements around areas with caves. Maor Elves have black skin and white or red hair and they prefer to live in underground settlements. Aquats have cyan skin and blue hair and live underwater or in settlements built near the ocean. Finally, Sarhad elves have red skin and red hair and live in deserts or dry areas and are usually nomads.

Alaur Elf

History

Alaur Elves are white-skinned, blue-haired elves that live in forests close to the sea. They have a long tradition of seafaring and are known as exceptional boat makers for their kin. The Alaur are excellent swimmers, fishermen and mariners and worship the ancient Amar of the oceans. They often offer gifts by placing them on the water, and some make long voyages at sea in solitude to find their inner self. They travel more than other elves and enjoy singing more than speaking, which they only do when necessary. Lore The Alaur Elves were the only elven lineage to live in lasting peace with the Aquats, sharing the coasts and seas in relative harmony. Their culture is deeply rooted in music, seafaring, and long voyages. This bond with the ocean shaped their identity and forged a natural alliance with the aquatic races.

Aquat

History

Aquats are amphibious elves who primarily live underwater. They build secluded settlements beneath the waves, away from the rest of civilization, including other elven kin. Most Aquats perished in the early ages of the world, and those who remain seldom visit the surface. Fierce and wilder than most elves, Aquats tend to be unfriendly toward creatures outside their kin. Their nature allows them to dominate the underwater realm and equips them with abilities to withstand its many dangers.

Lore

The Aquats never followed the Amar, Laira, to the eastern isle after the Great War. Instead, they claimed the Vitallian oceans as their own, building vast underwater cities far from the reach of other civilizations. In their struggle to control the southern seas, they clashed with the Shanah and were later hunted and slaughtered by Human pirates and raiders who followed in their wake. Now, the Aquats remain in their hidden underwater kingdoms, wary of all outsiders, even other elves.

Fyr Elf

History

Fyr Elves are physically stronger elves with a heavier build, gray skin and white hair and are known for their superiority as warriors. They live in cavernous regions or mountains, dedicating their lives to crafting and training. Most Fyr elves perished during the Battle of the Four Daughters, as they fought on the front lines. The Fyr have a long legacy of martial expertise, but this comes at a cost to their sanity. It is said they are the shortest-lived of all elves, often dying young due to the toll of war or the insanity that drives them into violent rages.

Lore

During the Era of the Four Daughters, the Fyr Elves were the master artisans behind all elven weaponry. Their craftsmanship was legendary, and many believe it played a pivotal role in the war that followed. Even now, scattered Fyr Elven clans are rumored to guard ancient forging techniques, sacred recipes of craftsmanship long thought lost to the world.

Maor Elf

History

Maor Elves are dark-skinned elves with white or red hair who dwell beneath the earth or in deep caverns. They prefer moonlight to daylight and mine the earth for precious ores. The Maor are typically isolated from other elves and operate with a hive-mind mentality within their closed societies. Most Maor live outside of Exotia, though some smaller groups occupy the northern part of the great isle. They follow their own traditions and rarely participate in events involving other elven tribes.

Lore

The Maor Elves followed the Amar An-Khaless-Na, sister of Laira, to the subterranean kingdom of Arcanara. There, they labor daily to harvest meteoric energy from the depths of the earth, earning limited hours on the surface as a reward for their toil. They live under a strict regime, isolated from the surface world and distant from all other races.

Sarhad Elf

History

Sarhad Elves dwell in deserts and other arid regions, with skin and hair in shades of red or yellow. These fierce, untamed elves live as nomads, rarely crossing the sea to Exotia, instead remaining in the eastern mainland, where they have blended with other local races. Sarhad Elves often become mercenaries, roaming vast stretches of land, typically in small groups or as part of larger warbands.

Lore

The Sarhad Elves followed Laira after the Great War, but her death on the mainland fractured their unity. With her passing, the Maor Elves fled north under the guidance of their own queen, while the Sentin and Fyr Elves continued eastward. The Sarhad were left divided, some remained in the arid lands near the desert, establishing colonies alongside human settlements, while others journeyed east to rejoin their kin.
