Kaivini
The Kaivini are a species of Kaivorin that experenced island dwarfism. They are much smaller than the other Kaivorin standing between four to six feet tall. They also have distict ears, the lobe of them instead of being rounded come to a distinct point. This point has a variety of lengths which certain soceities will often use as a show of status.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They share the major traits of the Kaivorin being mainly their hairless bodies, bipedalism, articulative hands with magic glands at the base of their fingertips, superior intellect.
However, there are several distinguishing features that put them apart from theit breathern. The Kavini are much shorter having experienced island dwarfism. They stand between 3-5 feet tall. Sexual selection has lead to the development of pointed ear lobes of various sizes and firmness.
The Kaivini have very little melanin deposits along the face most of theirs are located along the limbs. These patterns come in many shapes and spread typically forming in vine like patterns.
Genetics and Reproduction
The Kaivini have two distinit sexs as is common among all Kaivorin and in so show sexual dimorphism. They are typically grouped into male and female however it is not uncommon for a Kaivini to be born with some mix of the two reproductive organs, typically these individuals are seen in a higher social standing. They are typically viewed as special and a unifying bridge, usually have some sort of strong magic affinity, so are shamen or spellweavers.
Gestation happens such as with other Utorian happens through insemination and the fetus forms within a womb. The Gestation period is around 6-7 revolutions of Optis.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Kaivini like all Kaivorin possess the ability to manipulate magic. They do so through patches of magic ejecting glands located within the diaphram as well as at the base of their fingertips. These patches have protective melanin surrouding them as well as thickened patches of skin similar in feeling to calluses.

These four major ways are consistent among all Kaivorin but Instrument use is particularly common among the Kaivini.
