Staff of Pruning
The staff of pruning is a companion to all Pruning Nomads and gardeners across the realm. Capable of shifting its end to suit the needs of the wielder to tackle any challenge they may face. Originally created by the Nomads who service the main routes between cities as a way to reserve space when travelling.
Modifications can be added to a staff, typically being some form of gardening tool such as an axe head or pitch fork. But only three transformations can be held by the staff at any one time.
Actions & Appearance:
A staff of pruning can come in many forms, from a simple elm wood handle with a raw iron end to frosted birch and heads made of Crylun Steel. Each staff while looking different follows the same general appearance. A long wooden handle so the user can grab it with both hands, a metallic head that morphs into the desired tool and some form of rune embedded or attached to allow for the transformation to take place.
A standard staff of pruning has three basic shapes. A shovel, a hoe and rake. The head of the staff can change when the enchantment of the staff is activated through various means. If the tool is used as a weapon in any of these states, then it applies 1d6 melee damage and can cause the 'bleed' condition upon a critical roll (see TG20 - Homebrew Rules for more info).
