Cytal Civil War

At the end of the Dark Times, when Acuran had become extinct and Realm Rangers disbanded, the continent of Cytal was broken. Divided and susceptible to darkness. A group known as the Cult of Chaos took chance of this opportunity to start a war between the remaining civilizations in the hopes of freeing their dark lord.

Key Players:

The Cult of Chaos - A group of Necromancers who worship the lord of chaos, Archaos. Attempting to free him from his dimensional prison. It was the actions of the cult that began the war. Spreading chaos and confusion across the continent in order to fuel a magical gateway for the dark lord.   The 12 Commanders - A collection of heroes from all walks of life who were vital in winning the war and stopping the plans of the cult. With their leader Oharius convincing and uniting all the major cities of the time to defeat the cult once and for all at Fort Kasucian.

The Aftermath:

After seven long years of fighting, the 12 Commanders and their allies thwart the plans of the cult, stop Archaos from escaping his realm and bring an age of peace to Violem. Deemed by historians as the new age.   Despite the many years of violence and destruction, what came next was many new and exciting creations. In honour of the heroes that ended the war, four new cities were erected and named in their honour. With the intention of creating settlements that were more inclusive to reflect the new age. These cities included; Ohar, Toufan, Elsgard and Lha-Ria.   In addition to the new cities, a united army called the Alliance Guard was formed composed of veterans from the war. These men and women would serve as the law enforcers of these new cities as well as being welcomed by older ones including Sianwood and Yroh Wood.
Slate's Internal Thoughts
There is a war that I have heard mentioned repeatedly by people I come across. A civil war that happened decades ago. It seems as if this realm is also one that cannot escape the clutches of war. Perhaps that is a natural part of life? For without war, there can be no peace. Everything must have an opposite to keep balance. It is a peculiar phrase, was it Master Hamoss who spoke those words or the Dwarvern warrior I met? It has been a long time since I have that phrase.
