Sayali Archipelago

The Sayali Archipelago is a heavily contested region of Vhakatshũ. The constant conflict between the Maritime Principalities and Sarana Mymlos (as well as native islanders) makes the greater archipelago a very dangerous place to be for those who aren't prepared. Sarana Mymlos works with the islanders most of the time, but the Maritime Principalities only work for themselves, forcing islanders and indentured servants to work on their many plantations and farms across the archipelago, providing luxury goods for the rest of the world.

Geography

The Sayale Archipelago, formed from very active undersea volcanoes, has very diverse geography. Central and southern parts of the archipelago are very tropical, but the islands get drier further north. Near the largest island, Sayale Mantano, there are several more tropical islands and a somewhat Mediterranean climate, but this geography is only present because of magical terraforming done on the islands.   The whole island chain is in the southern sea of Lutar Minohn, surrounded by fierce oceans. Many geographers theorize that the furthest extent of the archipelago has yet to be discovered, blocked behind rogue waves and terrifying sea monsters.

Tourism

Tourism mostly comes to the northernmost islands, which are made exactly to cater to such an audience. Sera Vimali always has tourists in mind, boasting several luxurious hotels and beaches for people to visit, and many beautiful views. Ferries can take people between some of the smaller, tropical islands. That said, it isn't unheard of for tourists to go to islands further to the south, sometimes going to native settlements to 'live among them' for a time and experience their culture.
