Savassan

Savassan, the god of elves, is often associated with Sevrianna because of her elven name and appearance. Sevrianna is partly responsible for the creation of elves, creating them out of a fight between her and Esara.   Savassan is the only primary elven god. He first appeared in the area of what is now the The Duchy of Savassan. What set him apart from Minh and Ohn, the human gods, is that he chose to stay where he was rather than explore the world. Content to remain in the High Hills, he set up a small settlement in the area.   Over time, some of Savassan's descendants decided to make their way further out into the world. Some went to the forests in the north, while others retreated into caves, deciding to forge a path through the Underdark. These new types of elves took on some traits of their new environments, taking thousands of years to do so. The drow, the elves of the Underdark, became more hostile and cruel, necessary behavior to survive in their conditions. The wood elves of the northern forests adapted to be able to move quickly among the trees and underbrush, gaining natural camouflage in such environments. Small groups of drow and wood elves found themselves accidentally entering portals into strange realms, created by Two-Faced Ranios: the Feywilds and the Shadowfell. These elves also changed to take on the traits of their environments. As such, the Eladrin were born out of the Feywilds; tricky, cunning, and as fickle as the seasons they imitate. The Shadowfell gave birth to a completely different breed of elves. The already cruel drow took on the sad, often overwhelmingly lonely tone of the Shadowfell.
