History
The Billung-Hawes dynasty descends from the historical Billung family of Saxony, with roots reaching back to Duke Bernhard II (c. 1000 AD). The rise of the Augurian Christian movement and the foundation of Westfalen as an independent kingdom. Over centuries, the Billungs expanded their dominion, intertwined with the Angurian faith, and developed a near-mythic identity as both spiritual and temporal rulers.
From this time comes the Seraphic Myth.
The dynasty claims descent from the Seraphim—celestial beings or angels—lending the family an aura of divine mandate. The phrase "Filli Seraphae, Reges Terrae" ("Children of the Seraphim, Kings of the Earth") is central to their identity, reinforcing both religious and imperial legitimacy.
