The Three Kingdoms Era

The Three Kingdoms Era; often simply called 3KE by historians, was a recent era that spanned for centuries after the end of The Cruel Age.   It is an age that is often marked as a time where mankind has found its opportunity to truly flourish in peaceful prosperity, where borders are safe, sound, and no longer invaded by ambitious lords that wish to expand beyond their reach. It is named such for the rise of Ignan and Vilstrung, which created three standing Kingdoms alongside Mordencrast. These three Kingdoms never waged war over each other's borders and maintained an alliance throughout the era.   To date, the Three countries that rose to prominance during this era still stand, but are no longer strictly under a Monarch's rule.   Scholars still frequently debate whether or not the Three Kingdoms' era is stills tanding; on a technical standpoint, all three Kingdoms still remain in tact, but by definition, two of the three states are no longer traditional Kingdoms with ruling monarchs and hold fealty to the Huntsman's Court.   While this debate is still underway, most historians still mark their documents with 3KE; though particularly spiteful scholars may call it the Hunter's Era, or HE.
