The Great Dying

Elves call it Thúlmire; or the Winter that Swallowed our Sea.   Long ago, Veska underwent an apocalyptic event that ended with the world's oceans freezing over. Miles of ice buried the oceans, and life that lived on land slowly froze under mountainous glaciers. This annihilated most of the world's life as it knew it at the time; even the Crann that lived during this era weren't spared the cold. Few are aware of what lead to this cataclysm; what is known is that the ice age lasted long enough for entire civilizations to not tell whether there was land or ocean beneath their feet.
