Hillfolk

Hillfolk is a broad and sweeping term for the sapient creatures living in Grundd.   No Hillfolk is alike, though they are separated by different distinct species that live within the mountains. Their main unifying trait is their large sizes, hunger for human flesh, and relation to Giants.

Clan Bound

Hillfolk are divided from one another by clan; most Hillfolk are exceptionally hostile to outsiders, and view things outside of their clan as either food or resources to exploit. This includes towards other clans; the Hillfolk are frequently at war with each other and the alliances they forge are tenuous, at best.

Children of Giants

All Hillfolk trace their lineage back towards Giants; the main unifying trait all Hillfolk carry is their prodigious size and strength. Asides from this, no Hillfolk is the same. Some may have hanging jaws that can swallow men in one bite. Others may have gangly, dragging arms that scrape knuckles against the ground when they slouch. All, however, hold an extreme isolationist society that has an immense hatred towards outsiders.
