Personal history

Born to the Sanu clan, Murakami undertook much of the same traditions of past Sanu clan members, by age 5 he was learning to use a katana, by age 10 he was learning combat strategy and techniques, by 14 he was serving on the frontline of the Sanu army. By the time his father died, Murakami was the only son of 8 others to still be alive to take the Daiymo position of the family.
From a young age, Murakami was taught to have a strong distrust of the Tsukiko and Kagekatsu clans due to their abnormal and otherworldly origins.
While his father started the Sanu unification war, Murakami has conquered far more land than his father ever did and is responsible for pushing the Koi confederacy back to the point of near defeat.

Education

As a Daimyo's son, Murakami had excellent education to learn writing, history and painting, but as a member of the Sanu, he was also taught to fight, how to lead troops, and combat strategy.

Failures & Embarrassments

During the pursuit of Koi confederacy leaders that tried to escape with refugees into the west, he ended up coming across a fleet of unusual ships. It was quickly discovered that these ships were transporting the Koi leaders hidden with the other refugees. Battle quickly started with the Sanu ships easily outpaced by the larger, Asteria ships.
In a last-ditch effort to salvage the battle, Murakami jumped to the enemy ship to try and take out the enemy commander, unfortunately for him he encountered Warrior. During the fight, Murakami lost both his arm and eye, he only survived due to warrior tossing him back to his boat.

Morality & Philosophy

The strongest belief of Murakami is that as long as the various clans of the east are separate they will never know true peace, thus he wants to unite the land under one banner, no matter the cost.
