Chahari tribes
The people that live on Nunne Chaha call themselves the Chahari. The Chahari tribes are vast in number and seem to change leadership quite often.
(Players and dungeon masters are encouraged to create their own tribes for personal stories, using this article as a guide for how a typical tribe functions.)
Structure
The two major figures in Chahari society are the chief and the spirit walker.
The chief is the strongest member of the tribe and is responsible for protecting them and leading them into battle.
The spirit walker serves as the tribes religious leader. It is their job to speak the will of the spirits and instruct the tribe to act in accordance.
Culture
Each tribe functions as an extended family. The Chahari are territorial and untrusting of outsiders and other tribes.
Demography and Population
Military
The Chahari lack an organized military, however their warriors should never be taken lightly. They are skilled at mounted combat, archery, and guerrilla tactics.
Religion
The Chahari people are shamanistic, revering elemental spirits and the spirits of their ancestors.
Foreign Relations
The Chahari tribes will deal with outsiders at length and in small doses. They prefer to be left alone.
Education
The spirit walker is responsible for the spiritual growth of the tribe. At night they will sit by the fire and tell stories about who they are and where they came from.

Currency
While the Chahari mostly rely on the barter system, they do recognize the value of gold, particularly when dealing with members of the Northern Kingdoms.
Legislative Body
The spirit walker is the one in charge of deciding how the tribe should live. The Chahari have no written laws, thus the word of the spirit walker carries much weight.
Judicial Body
While the spirit walker speaks the law, the chief ensures the people follow, doling out punishment as needed for any who go against the will of the spirits.
