Morumpi Jacaranda
Morumpi is the husband of
Nelma Jacaranda and the step-father of
Nessa Jacaranda. He and Nelma also had a son called Oraci.
Morumpi used to be a kind, gentle soul who loved his family. But everything changed when he, for reasons that still make no sense for those who knew him, tried to take Nessa to a demon lord. Nessa defended herself, they fought, and Morumpi ended up killed by her step-daughter.
Physical Description
He has dark skin and eyes. He prefers his hair short, though Nelma did ask him to keep it long for her once when Nessa was still a toddler.
He is mostly ambidextrous (thanks to some special carpentry skills he learned from his parents in his childhood), though he prefers to use a knife with his left hand and write with his right.
An amazing cook. Can make a superb meal out of nearly nothing. Nobody goes hungry with him around.
Mental characteristics
Morumpi was born with the surname Matamatá in the outskirts of
Pindaiba. His parents were carpenters who often found work near the city's Grand Temple, so Morumpi and his cousin Jurandir grew up in the most sacred area of Pindaiba.
When
Nelma Jacaranda joined the temple, Morumpi and Jurandir quickly befriended her. They became such good friends that, when Nelma was chosen as the High Priestess, they were personally invited to the ceremony. Morumpi was also present in the marriage ceremony between Nelma and Jurandir. However, he moved away from Pindaiba before
Nessa was born due to his career prospects.
Morumpi wanted to be a chef, so in December 1977 he set out to a famous school in Daisen. He was still there 2 years later when he heard the news that his cousin had been kidnapped by demons. Soon after that, his family gave him yet more worrying news: his parents had contracted a mysterious sickness that was eating their life away. Morumpi gave up his place at the school to return home and care for his ailing parents. Despite his best efforts, however, his parents died in 1981.
Faced with the loss of his parents and cousin, and with his career progress also cut short, Morumpi sought help in the Grand Temple. He and Nelma rekindled their relationship, and got married the following year. Morumpi took Nessa as his own daughter and cared for her and loved her.
A few years later, Morumpi and Nessa had a child. The boy was born in 1986 and called Oraci after one of Nelma's lovers.
Morumpi idenfities as male and uses "he" pronouns.
Fairies are all bi/pansexual by default. On more general terms, Morumpi is a more submissive type who takes pleasure in sexually pleasing others.
Studied in Daisen to become a chef, but had to return to Pindaiba before graduation to take care of his parents.
Personality Characteristics
Used to dream of becoming a great chef. However, after the loss of his parents and cousin, his focus shifted to bringing up his own loving family.
Likes his family, cooking, making Nelma, Nessa and Oraci laugh.
Had some mysterious deal with demons that led to him trying to capture Nessa. It ultimately cost his life.

Towards Morumpi Jacaranda
History
Morumpi and Nessa met when she was still a toddler. They got on well even then, and it didn't take long for Nessa's mother to make Morumpi her main partner, and thus Nessa's step-father.
Since Nessa's biological father had been missing for years and presumed dead, Morumpi became Nessa's second parental figure while growing up. He took Nessa outside on his back when she was too sick to get out of bed, helped her with school work, and even pointed her out in the right direction as she began her sexual awakening.
Nessa adored and respected her step-father right until he turned on her and tried to take her to the demons. Why would he do that? Did he ever love her? Or was there something more sinister going on?
