After overthrowing their illithid masters, they became ruthless conquerors of the Astral Plane. Githyanki culture prizes martial prowess, discipline, and loyalty to their Lich-Queen Vlaakith. They dwell in fortresses carved into the corpses of dead gods adrift in the silver void, striking across worlds aboard spelljamming ships in raids for plunder, slaves, and glory.
