Calendar of Valnear

Most of the Northern Continent uses the Valneari calendar for timekeeping. Dwarves and Moon Elves also have their own calendars, but they mostly use the same system for counting days and years, so the difference is only between the names of the months, the starting years, and new year's eve.
Valneari Timekeeping starts with the year during which Voren I, the conqueror was crowned. Thus, the recorded date for Voren's coronation ceremony is VT1, Kingsrise 30th, which is also the longest day of the year. (Ever since then, kings can only be crowned on this exact date.) The last day of a year is normally the 31st of Lastword, which is followed by the longest night of the year.
The days in each month correspond to the Gregorian Calendar on Earth. The names of the months used by the Valneari Calendar are the following:
Winterborn (Winter), Moonglow (Winter), Icebreak (Spring), Warcry (Spring), Bridesvow (Spring), Kingsrise (Summer), Sunsglory (Summer), Sunblaze (Summer), Goldwing (Autumn), Winetap (Autumn), Stormgrey (Autumn), Lastword (Winter)
