Glass Cracks

Upon impact with the earth, the glass ores that originally fell during the rock rains in Tuskin times cracked and fractured into loosely spaced chucks.   These cracks offered circumferencial openings where the huge meteorites were mined into ocumtitian arts and hollowed out into strongholds with just two or three levels.

Sensory & Appearance

Plant Growth

Even with the external fractures filled in, there are innumerable internal fissures where rain water is able filter from the roof, through unknown gaps to the unpaved ground floor. From under the castle, shrubs and flowering vines are able to break through the floor and creep along the walls for the refracted light filtering through the glass walls.

Denizens

Ocumtit Nobles

There are five remaining glass castles that is home to the most important ocumtitian nobles in Ocumtit.

Hazards & Traps

A rare allergic reaction to Ocumtit's glass that leads to burning skin discolouration.   Depending on a person's background/genealogy, they may be susceptible to an allergic reaction to the shrine's parts should they touch them at any point. Symptoms can even breakout long after a person as left the vicinity.

Alterations

Crack Fillings

As the natural glass walls were full of large and small crack openings, mortars made of mud, ash and leftover glass were used to pave over the breaches for a smooth finish.

Architecture

An extraterrestrial substance that either fell from the sky during the Tuskin reign or was purposefully seeded by Keanians.   Also called black glass, it is a type of ore that drinks in sunlight during the day and releases it at night in a menagerie of brilliant but subtle colours.

History

The base's rock and stone construction is covered in black glass tiles forged by the glassmakers in Ocumtit from the moon pieces of condemned buildings and the torn ground.   During its construction, the ocumtitians were not able to keep up with the demands so two whole glass castles were condemned by the sacred precinct, their families evicted and its glass walls scraped and melted into glass tiles.   This foundation layer got its name from the coloured, refractive glass that tiles the facade of this tier, and adds a certain luminous quality at night.
