Vincent Wrought

Vincent Wrought was once a Quiet Man.

He Loved his Wife - Radinka Wrought -, He Loved the little Town of Barrel's Bottom that they lived in & He Loved his work as a Lumberjack. The two of them didn't have much but they were Happy. There may have been a War going on but, that was far away.

Vincent worked with 3 other Men in a Lumberjack Party, collecting wood from the surrounding woodlands. Lumien, Zenas and Ogilvie. Each day they would leave Barrel's Bottom and collect from Dawn 'Till Dusk, this would prove their undoing.

Despite Vincent and Radinka's belief, the war was indeed creeping closer. A group of Auris Virtutis Fighters were fleeing from a Stitches Mortar Crew via the Mountain Range that Barrel's Bottom was located in. Sympathetic individuals from inside of Barrel's Bottom sought to assist the Elves who they saw as haggard and victimised.

However, in their attempts to hide and evade the Stitches Mortar crew who followed them, they led the crew to Barrel's Bottom. The Mortar Crew who saw only the Elves enter the town from afar, assumed it to be an Hidden Elven Stronghold and decided to destroy it. Realising that the Mortar Crew had followed them, in the morning of the next day; the Elves left without telling a soul. With that action, Barrel's Bottom was Doomed.

Vincent and his fellow Lumberjacks left early that morning, departing into the woodlands surrounding Barrel's Bottom to hunt various game. It was Lumien who heard the first blast.

At Noon, The Mortar Crew had begun shelling. By the time the Lumber Party realised what was happening and had scrambled back to the town, it had been reduced to rubble. It was there in that rubble that Vincent had all his remaining hope destroyed. He found Radenka. Broken and Dead. She had been trying to protect the town's children by hiding them in a cellar, until it was hit with a direct blast.

In that rubble that was once his Home, Vincent found something, an undetonated shell. A Dud. On it's non-buried side, as if proudly showwing the world, It read "Property of The Whoistad Lead-Coat Millitary Mortar Devision 11-07. If found return to-" the return address had been painted over with "your Wife, you filthy scum!". As Vincent looked to the sky to cry out in anguish, he saw something. Shapes moving along 2 ridgelines, one into the trees and the other perusing the first. At that Vincent Knew. At that Vincent Raged.

Vincent & the 3 other survivors of Barrel's Bottom made a pact, they would destroy these people. Destroy those who robbed them and that they would avenge what they had lost.

It took years. Careful planning, clever politics & funding issue's can make conspiracy's slow going. In that time, they put their knowledge to use, and Vincent found the perks of a corpse that doesn't decay. Granted it was originally a side project, speaking to his wife again that is.

But then they got that offer.

"Prove Yourselves." and what better a way to do that, than to resurrect the long dead. Turns out, unless there's some kind of Issue, Reason or Spell or Curse. The Dead don't stick around for long. So they thought, what better a way to prove themselves than to steal a Soul from Ol' Bell-Singer?

They could get their Justice and Vincent could say Goodbye in one swoop.

To Destroy The Stitches Citys, Starting with Wholstad. Sewing Chaos within so that it destroys itself from within. He Plans on using The Heart of The City for this.
To Speak with his Wife again, and to say Goodbye. To Hear her say how proud she is of him.
