The Monsoon Creed, Kor Me, Ta Memu, 26th, 3587, Wet
The Monsoon Creed is a religion in the Monsoon Shore. It is a polytheistic religion with three gods. The Dry God, Aleki Kamu, The Water God, Marar Kanib, and The Storm Goddess, Shalik Kalv. These three are based on the monsoon climate of the region. The Dry God Aleki Kamu is the god of the dry season and is often prayed to when a drought is especially bad. The Water God Marar Kanib is the god of water, fortune, and the wet season, often being prayed to for a good harvest or good fortune. Finally, the Storm Goddess Shalik Kalv is the goddess of storms, war, and victory. She is prayed to for a victory by soldiers, often being done before a battle. The Monsoon King is the leader of both The Kingdom of Vamor and The Monsoon Creed.
Mythology & Lore
The Monsoon Creed believes that the world came to be when the dry god and the water god fought. Fighting created the Monsoon in the Stars. The storm goddess intervened and created the world. Both gods saw the world and fought over it. Their fighting created the water and the Monsoon in this new land. The storm goddess had created men by this time and was furious when the monsoon was affecting men. She gave men boats to protect themselves from the battles of the other gods. She decided to create animals, plants, and other lands. Thus, the world was born.
The Monsoon Creed also believes that when they die, they should be buried in the ground and let their body become the soil that will help plants grow for others. When they die, they also believe that their soul goes to the sky, and lives in the stars alongside the gods.
Finally, the Creed has a myth about a supposed Monsoon in the Sky, which allows the soul of those who are dead to go to other worlds via a road of some sort.

Granted Divine Powers
Priests of this religion, Monsoon Fathers are sometimes granted incantation powers. All Monsoon Fathers are, as suggested, male. There are exactly fifteen female priests at a time, each called a Storm Mother. Monsoon Fathers are able to manipulate the tides at will, but only during the Wet Season. Monsoon Fathers are not required to speak what they are doing, and can also manipulate any form of liquid water. Storm Mothers are able to manipulate the storms and seasons(sometimes) at will. They can perform their greatest feats during a thunderstorm. If it is not thundering, their powers are much weaker. They are required to utter an incantation whenever they perform a spell. Most of their spells also require material items depending on the spell. Also, many spells have been recorded in books. However, usually, only one or two spells can be fit into a book, as the Riber writing system takes a lot of time to spell one word. Lastly, there are records of Monsoon Mothers and Storm Fathers, but these records date back to when Mabain Tribes and others were dominating the River Coast.
