Mossfog

A creature of moss and fog. It lives in northern forests and spends most of it's time living as moss.

Whenever they feel a presence, they raise from their moss patch and appear as a cloud of fog with moss patches (which is the only solid part) and take a similar shape of whatever creature they've sensed.

People from towns and cities know them as boogeymen and avoid them at all cost.

People who live and/or work with nature sees them as helpful and powerful spirits and leave offerings to them.
