5. The Ascension of the Wyrmkings Description: Long ago, dragons ruled Darluna and parts of Aetheris before being overthrown by mortal kingdoms. A few dragonlords, known as the Wyrmkings, survived and disappeared, leaving behind caches of magical treasure and ancient ruins. Impact: Adventurers and scholars still hunt for relics of the Wyrmkings, such as dragonsteel and hoarded magical items. The draconic bloodlines in some noble families of Nyssgard and the Solithar Empire are rumored to be remnants of this era. Dragons have become rare but revered or feared depending on the nation’s perspective.
