House Drevak

The Dead House

One of the longest-standing noble houses of the Vampires, this house has almost completely fallen out of relevance. This house used to be the sworn protector of the Vampire King. Now, only Nathaniel Drevak, King Hendrik's champion and advisor, remains. Although this house still has noble privileges, Nathaniel officially gave up the house's noble status on the 27th of the Month of Blossom, YD.

Public Agenda

The single goal of House Drevak and the last remaining member, Nathaniel Drevak, is to protect the king's interests at all costs. This includes protecting the king from physical threats and advising the king on political matters to help him maintain his political interests.

History

Originating back to the first vampire king, the Drevak House was a house that would protect and advise the King in various ways. In some circles, they were called the "True rulers of the city" due to their vast political power and influence over the King.   Unfortunately, not all in the Drevak House served the King's best interest. In 215 YD, the Drevak House experienced unexpected treachery. One day, two well-established house members betrayed the others, backed by a group of brutal mercenaries. Much of the house was either lost or slaughtered, and the two traitors left, supporting a new candidate to the throne that they called The Usurper.   After Nathaniel Drevak was discovered half-dead in the dungeon of a half-collapsed fortress and nursed back to health, he joined the new King, King Cain, in a war against The Usurper and his old family members. After years of war, King Cain was successful, and Nathaniel was left as the last member of his once-prominent house.

Disbandment

After the death of King Cain, Nathaniel Drevak decided that having a sizeable noble house with influence over the King was too dangerous. Once King Hendrik was coronated, Nathaniel ceded Drevak's noble title. While Nathaniel still operates with aristocratic privileges, House Drevak is no longer considered nobility, and Nathaniel refuses to sire any new vampires under the name.
