Herbs

Leaves, fruits, sap, mushrooms and other materials sourced directly from the flora of the multiverse.

Common

Common herbs are found all over the world and require very little in the way of special environment or care.

  • Beggarcap (poison) - a poisonous mushroom.
  • Fuzz (fantasy) - mildly narcotic seeds.
  • Goldfoil (life) - golden leaves with disease-resisting properties.
  • Lesate's Tears (life) - small white flowers with healing properties.
  • Uncommon

    Uncommon herbs are most likely to be found in areas influenced by low level magical energies.

  • Amoebeye Mould (fiend) - spherical growths in red sludge found in areas of demonic influence.
  • Goblin Gold (poison) - toxic moss found underground.
  • Shriekberry (fiend) - berries with a fear-inducing effect.
  • Rare

    Rare herbs are located in areas of strong magical influence. They are rare enough that most people would not recognise them.

  • Glambour Sap (fantasy) - a sweet-smelling sap.
  • Very Rare

    Very rare herbs are unlikely to be found on the material plane at all, instead being sourced from planes matching their influence.

    Legendary

    Legendary herbs are those powerful enough to show up in myths. They are exceedingly rare and valuable, often causing a permanent change to a creature affected by them.

    Variable Rarity

    Some crafting materials have a rarity based on their source.

  • Living Plant Matter (usually life) - animated and sentient plant creatures may have materials harvested from their corpses.
  • Natural Essence (any influence) - purified natural potential.
