Personal history
Genevieve de Fleur was the heir of a house in the Province of Leclair that worshipped the demon, Naberios. At the age of 17, she was married off to the heir of another house within Leclair that also worshipped Naberios: Jacques de Chapelle. Jacques was about 10 years older than her and was unable to find a suitor otherwise. They married and merged into one house Fleur.
Genevieve and Jacques have a very obviously unhappy marriage, but she saw one escape in her son, Alphonse. She fought and argued with Jacques for a decade over having children. However, she eventually caved into his whining by only having one child. When Alphonse was a boy, she treated him with distant kindness.
However, when Naberios bestowed the name Azaloth upon her son, her attitude changed.
She became much harsher on her son. She beat him into submission nearly every night if she wasn't busy beating Jacques into a bloody pulp. She would scream at him to perfect his magic before he was allowed to eat at the dinner table with the rest of the family. She would hover over him as he fearfully repeated spells over and over again so that she would not become enraged with him for doing it wrong.
All along, she knew her son would resent her. She knew her son would kill her. This was her grand plan after all.

Jacques (husband): There is no man Genevieve hated more than her husband, Jacques. He was 10 years older than her at the time of their marriage because he couldn't find a suitor otherwise. She thinks he is pathetic, spinless, and disgusting.
Azaloth (son): Despite the years upon years of abuse she put him through, Genevieve actually loves her son and did it all for his benefit. However, that failed miserably. He literally killed her LMFAO
Count Leclair (superior): Genevieve also deeply resents Hera for her tyrannical rule over the province, but Count Leclair is the only woman who can bring Genevieve to silence. They have pretty similar political views.
Relationships
Lord of Fleur and mother of Azaloth de Fleur. Genevieve was once a pillar of the Province of Leclair under Count Leclair. Now, she is just dust and ash at the hands of her son, Azaloth.
