Arroin Piper

History

They're siblings, so of course they don't always get along. Arroin thinks that Atha is too cheerful, and Atha thinks that Arroin is to gruff and stone-hearted. But they share experiences with their parents, and that has brought them together somewhat. If Arroin didn't have a high opinion and high faith in his little sister, he would have never handed her his birthright to the hotel.

History

Arroin doesn't visibly like Quinn very much. He's not a dad kind of person, and he annoys very easily when it comes to kids, especially Quinn, who enjoys messing with him. Except that he actually does care about Quinn, as he reminds him a lot of his sister, Quinn's mother. Arroin refuses to show his affection toward Quinn, because it would seem like he's caving into Quinn's attempts to irritate him. This would seem like a weakness.   It also doesn't help that Quinn is the product of his sister, and a Nacre. He feels like he must love him, because he's his nephew, and he cares for his mother. But his father puts him on edge, and it does bleed into Quinn.   Quinn actually does like his uncle. That's why he teases him so much. He admires Arroin's cool nature. But it can also get frustrating when Arroin never shows any positive. Quinn also sees this as a lack of effort to try to be nice, etc, compared to Quinn's huge efforts to make himself seem nice and happy.   These two people need to see each other's true selves, and the affection they have for each other. They could be a very healthy together if they just knew each other better.

History

Arroin never approved of his sister, Atha, marrying a Nacre. Something about them puts him on edge, and he worried about what this kind of relationship could do to Atha and any kids she wanted to have. But he never told Atha this, as he doesn't like looking like a villain, and doesn't enjoy arguing with her. It especially makes him uneasy that Doux can sense feelings better than anyone else. Doux tried to hide this detail from Arroin, but he heard it from Atha. Arroin hates the idea of somebody possibly peering into his mind.   Arroin doesn't try hard to appear that he likes Doux, and Doux is well aware of Arroin's dislike for him. Doux tries to win his approval, but anything he tries to do seems to make it worse.   Eventually, they should learn to respect each other, and to fight together for the people they both love.
