Dear Diary,
Today, I took a walk through the gardens of Lockhart Manor. Even in the depths of Autumn, the gardens hold a certain charm, with the leaves turning shades of gold and red. There's a secret spot I adore, a small grove of cherry trees planted over a century ago by my great-great-grandparents. Despite the season, this grove retains its beauty, the fallen cherry blossoms creating a soft, pink carpet on the ground.
I often find solace under these trees. It’s a place where I can truly be myself, away from the prying eyes and endless expectations. The grove feels like a sanctuary, a haven where time seems to stand still. The air is crisp and cool, yet there's a warmth in the tranquility that envelops me. I feel safe here, as if the trees themselves are watching over me.
I brought my favorite book and settled under the largest tree, its branches forming a protective canopy above. As I read, the world outside faded away. I imagined myself in far-off lands, living the adventures I so often dream of. Here, in this secluded grove, I feel a sense of peace and happiness that I seldom find elsewhere.
The sun began to set, casting a golden glow through the branches. Reluctantly, I made my way back to the manor, leaving behind my little haven. I know I'll return soon, to lose myself in the beauty and serenity of this special place.
Until next time,
Andrielle
