Tharmfalls
A small village built around a group of waterfalls and plunge pools in the lower mountains of the Dragon Teeth mountains, The town is split into three circular levels built around the plunge pools. The village is peaceful, building on the rocky outcrops around the pools as the water cuts through the cliff side. lush woodlands surround the area making it more secluded.
History
While founded before the Rebel age by a group of escaped Small folk, the village came under the protection of Stormhold in the early rebellions. Once the Phervians were driven out of the lowlands, Tharmfalls joined other settlements in becoming independent, with a Merfolk family taking over rulership. The village would remain mostly unchanged, farming kelp and fish to feed themselves and trade, coral is also encouraged and harvested in the middle pool. Other races would join and asimulate into the village and even under the Empire of Akoom, with the Akoomites settling the lower pool, the village maintained a certain amount of autonomy.The Pools
the two higher pools are surrounded by cliffs protecting them from approach from any other side other then the stairs and lifts, that lead from one to the other. While the main town is built at ground level around the lower pool, surronded by woods.Main town
The lowest and most northern pool is a large circle plunge pool, the largest of the three, with waters flowing in not only from the other pools to the south but a second waterfall coming out the mountain to the west. This pool flows into a small stream heading north east. This settlement has several houses, a tavern, store house, general store, fish monger, and fishing jetties. This is also the level fish and kelp farming takes place on, providing most the food for the village, though kelp farming is restricted to shallower areas of the pool.Middle pool
The middle pool is a shallow crescent moon, with the stairs up leading to a narrow stone walkway, with no railing, houses built out onto the water spread out around the western edge. This houses a lot of the artisans and minor nobility of the village. Coral and oyster farmers work in the area, gathering material and maintaining the coral reef of the pool, turning these plants into beautiful jewellery and ornaments. A shrine to Thermilsha is also on this level.Upper pool
A smallest pool is home to the lords family. Quite deep a merfolk palace has been built in the water itself, with the top floors being accessible by land holding the meeting room and guest quarters.
