While this blood age seems to be getting it's name from multiple events, from the
The Laughing king, Conquests of Rivell, the
Sala incident, and various other wars. What I think none can ignore is the single twenty year stretch that saw, first the north, then the whole of Undina drown in blood. I am of course talking about Prophet Imp, aka the Demon Prophet. Throughout his time as both as Flykir of Frostmourn and then as Prophet. Throughout his time he made several Proclamations declaring groups as heretical and thus enemies of the empire of Akoom. I have compiled a list of each of these proclamations, and the results they had, Both in the short and Long term.
Heretics of the soul, 115 blood
Made in Frostmourn before he became Flykir. This deemed all undead as heretical, along with it's creation. This lead to major 'uprisings' across the region, and open war between the Imp and several Liches, leading to the death of two Archliches. This proclamation, often hammered to the doors of graveyard gates along with a necromancer, and the resulting uprisings is believed to have lead to the show of faith and distrust of magic seen throughout Frostmourn during the Imps reign.
Heresy of Magic, 121 Blood
Announced before the Imp even reached Akoomtet, this proclamation was an expansion of the first outlawing all none divine magic as it was seen as corrupting. Though this didn't see the massive uprisings seen after the original, it did see several skirmish's across the empire, especially in the silent lake area. Many magic users however went to ground, with
Lacertillia and the
The White City becoming havens.
Heresy of the impure, 123 Blood
Known as the first decent into madness, this saw the deciliation of all shapeshifters as impure and "needing to be purged", while originally thought to be about changelings spherically, leading to active welcoming of the proclamation. However more zealous members started hunting
Shifters as well as those accused of things like lycanthropy. This also led to any shifter's present being blamed for problems. Within three years Shifter calls of the wild had decreased within the Empire, with more heading north and west, the death toll of 'heretics' had now overtaken the lose of life of several major conflicts. With only the Rebel age slave revolts remaing bloodier.
