Boa passage
The ancient Boa river basin winds through the centre of the shadow plains, providing transport and farming in the area. Like many things when the Mire over took the area the river was lost. Throughout the ages however rumours of a deep part of the swamp that flowed near the centre of the swamp kept cropping up. It would eventually be Scarlet da Titanic who plotted a course through the mire creating the Boa's run. The passage runs north east of Rulfim's shield heading westward before curving past the shield and meandering through the mire to the southern coast. The entrance is marked by black mist that conceals several islands in the old delta, where a tribe of Naga has settled.
Boa's run
A two week race thought the deep swamp following a precise path. Only the Titanic and a Silent Clipper has made it through the run by 200 Fey, with the Titanic making regular trips to Rulfim's shield. Successfully traversing the run requires not only a smaller ship and well disciplined crew, but a time sheet with three caller shifts. A single mistake will result in the ship being beached and at the mercy of the mire, a fact emphasised by the wrecks at several points on the run.Squire Augustine, What do you mean a ship is coming through the mire, we are several weeks from- Justicar Juliano the first time the Titanic made the Boa's run.
