Lyvelios
Culture
Lyvelios' culture focuses on hard work and being resourceful. Due to its northern location, not all resources are going to be as plentiful as many would hope. Processes that enable resources to be preserved as well as general knowledge is respected. Those who don't possess the abilties to survive and know their surroundings are usually looked down upon. As such, education is also quite important for Lyvelians.
The country does still hold some resentful behavior towards people of Sorcodian and Estellian origins, thanks to their own Nutherenian origins. This unfortunately leads to the armies rejecting any sort of Sorcodian-made firearms or Estellian-made blades. This is their Achille's Heel in their culture.
Assets
Lyvelios has a plentiful amount of stone and other resources that can be found in the mountains. Metals like iron and tin are frequently mined out and transported throughout the country. Lyvelios also has a pretty sizable military with all troops being well-armed.
History
Lyvelios was founded by a large group of explorers that traveled from Nutheren from the continent of Regalio in 418. After docking onto the piece of mostly unclaimed land, the Nutherenians decided to settle down completely. Nutheren, at the time, was still going through some pretty significant politcal tensions. The new settlers decided to fully colonize the piece of land and eventually founded the country of Lyvelios in 433. The capital city of New Snovhit shares its name with Nutheren's own capital city.
Demography and Population
Lyvelios' population resides entirely on the west side of the long mountain range that seperates the country. Beyond the mountains is a cold and barren tundra with little resources and lots of danger.
The population is mostly consisted of humans and some dwarves. The dragonborn found in Lyvelios come from scattered clans. Many of the dragonborn are either silver or white. There are no halfling or gnome citizens and elves are a rare sight to see.
Military
Being the country founded by the viking-like countrymen of Nutheren, the military of Lyvelios is quite strong. The soldiers of the lands are well armed and are well trained to both attack and defend.
Agriculture & Industry
Lyvelios' agricultural potential is highly limited due to its cold setting. Crops tend to grow slower and are generally less plentiful than in other places. Industry is much better here, with smitheries and stoneworkers being scattered everywhere across the country. Thanks to the mountain range that divides the country, the mining industry has also been prosperous.
During the Time of Technology, Lyvelios has brought in many Thorcester technologies in, including the mass usage of Forza crystals. While some old-fashioned dwarves may seem to resent this new technology, they still end up using them. Around this era, the Sen & Krieg Supplies corporation managed to form several contracts with local crafting guilds, further boosting the economy.
Trade & Transport
Lyvelios conducts in regular trading between other countries. Imported goods mainly consist of crops and arms while exports include raw materials/ore and stonework. This trade has allowed the economy to remain stable and the citizens living comfortably, despite the frigid conditions.
