Daermonth (duh-AIR-month)

Daermonth, in his true form, is a young-adult silver dragon. He has clean silver scales, a well-defined head fin, large shiny wings, and a long silver tail.   Under his alias of Darnell Orokin, he is a winged dragonborn with a brownish scale-tone. He is of average build and 6ft tall in this form.

Being a silver dragon, Daermonth has the ability to polymorph himself into other creatures. He uses this ability purely to transform and maintain his transformation as "Darnell."   In his true dragon form, he has the ability to breathe a blast of icy-cold air, can compress clouds into solid bricks, and can fly great distances.

In his dragonborn form, "Darnell" is usually seen wearing his instructoral clothes. This includes a blue outer coat, a white button-up shirt, a matching vest, charcoal slacks, and a bowtie.

Daermonth was born in the mountains east of Cordomo in the year 425. His upbringing was a case where a parent silver dragon entrusted their only egg to a humanoid that they trust. The name of the person that raised Daermonth in his wyrmling years is unknown, but they have been confirmed to be dead. It is unknown where his original parents went, and he personally does not care.   Daermonth lived his first 50 years of his life listening to a multitude of stories and tales told by his non-dragon guardian. When his guardian passed away, Daermonth left his mountain home that he was raised in and began to wander as under-the-radar as possible. His guardian did teach him Polymorph, but it would take several years of practice before Daermonth could properly hold onto a transformation for more than a few hours. When he came across people that didn't instantly run away or faint in fear, he would form quick and close bonds with them. Unfortunately, these were mainly adventurers and only a year or two after befriending them, he would learn the painful news that his friends have died while journeying.    In the year 534, Daermonth finally learned to properly hold onto a transformation for an extended period of time. He would assume the form of a winged dragonborn with an ambiguous color, assumed an alias of Darnell Orokin, and moved to Talimo. He spent a good year setting up his new lair in an abandoned cave in Mount Bjorlin. After that, he officially moved to Thorcester City and, using his bountiful knowledge, began working in the University of Artificers and Wizards.    Daermonth still works at the university, teaching an Arcana 101 class. He spent most of his days living in a separate home on-campus and only occasionally returned back to his lair to either add more treasure to his hoard or to re-decorate. Only a few people know of his true identity.

Daermonth was well-educated since birth by his humanoid guardian. After he left his home lair, he would pick up worldly knowledge from passerby's and town gossip. He would eventually begin teaching magic in Thorcester City's University of Artificers and Wizards.

As a silver dragon, Daermonth loves to make friendships with humanoids. However, these friendships were mainly created with adventurers. Several times in his life, he would have to listen to the news that his adventurer friends have died while on a mission. Despite his friendly and gentle nature, he always has the memories of his past friends that he lost.
