Verdant Warden - Ranger Conclave

The Verdant Warden Conclave reveres the Goddess Shwazen, the protector of all flora and fauna. Rangers of this conclave believe that the true essence of nature lies within the interconnectedness of every creature and the land they tread upon. Whether they are followers of the Angshire Spirits, the Old Shwazen Ancestors, or the Shwazen Faith, these wardens deeply respect the balance Shwazen offers, seeking to embody her ideals in every arrow loosed and every step taken. To join the Verdant Warden Conclave is to become one with nature, understanding its ebbs, flows, and mysteries.

Natural Attunement

At 3rd level, you can channel the pure essence of nature. You gain the ability to cast the Druidcraft and Speak with Animals spells without expending a spell slot, and they don't count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Warden's Ward

At 3rd level, nature shields you from harm. When you are in a natural setting (forests, meadows, mountains, etc.), you can use a bonus action to invoke the protection of the spirits. Gain temporary hit points equal to your ranger level + your Wisdom modifier.

Nature's Retribution

At 7th level, your bond with nature strengthens your attacks. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause thorns to erupt. The target takes an additional 1d6 piercing damage.

Swarm Sentinel

At 7th level, the tiny guardians of nature heed your call. As an action, you can summon a swarm of bees, flies, wasps, or other tiny flying creatures to harry an enemy. The targeted creature must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, they take 2d6 piercing damage (from stings or bites) and are distracted by the swarm, giving them disadvantage on their next attack roll or ability check before the end of their next turn. On a successful save, they take half damage and suffer no other effects. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Eyes of the Forest

At 11th level, your senses merge with nature. You can cast the Commune with Nature spell without expending a spell slot. After using this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Nature's Whisper

At 11th level, nature constantly whispers secrets to you. When you are in a natural environment, you can gain advantage on one Intelligence (Nature) or Wisdom (Survival) check. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one), regaining expended uses after a long rest.

Shwazen's Blessing

At 15th level, Shwazen's favor manifests in you as a guardian of nature. As a reaction, when a creature you can see within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can channel the energy of the land to reduce that damage by 2d10 + your Wisdom modifier. After using this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
