Introduction

Colonial Era and Construction of the Space Elevator

Approximately 270 years ago, the Feln Sibrans, under the auspices of the UFFR, enslaved the native Trians of Tria and initiated the construction of a planetary space elevator. Early Trian attempts at rebellion were swiftly suppressed by Sibran military forces. The elevator was completed after 57 years of labor, and the Trians remained in subjugation.

Rebellions and Foreign Intervention

Following 157 years of continued Feln Sibran rule and two failed rebellions, the Trians received support from an intergalactic coalition opposed to the UFFR. This coalition advocated for “Free Tria, rightfully governed by its native inhabitants,” and supplied the Trians with symbiote-infused weapons and technology, significantly altering the balance of power.   With this support, Trian forces succeeded in pushing Sibran control to the north-eastern continent. Despite these losses, Sibra retained the strategically important land bridge connecting the two nations. The UFFR reinforced Sibra with war machines, which were smuggled onto the continent during a rare lapse in Trian symbiote-based air defenses. The UFFR subsequently threatened to use these war machines indiscriminately should the Trians attempt further advances. Faced with this threat, the Trians agreed to a temporary truce.

The Planetary Shield and Sibran Surrender

This ceasefire enabled the Trians to complete a planetary shield, a project that had been in development for some time. Once activated, the shield neutralized the war machines and other UFFR technology, and severed Sibra’s connection with the wider UFFR. The Trians then resumed their campaign, encountering minimal resistance as they advanced into Sibran-held territory. Realizing defeat was inevitable, Sibran officials surrendered, declared themselves representatives of a newly independent Sibra, and renounced all ties to the UFFR.

Aftermath and Division

Following the surrender, borders were drawn between Trian and Sibran territories. The Trians confiscated all weaponized Symbiote technology, and the remaining Sibran military forces were disbanded as part of a comprehensive demilitarization agreement. All Sibran fortifications and war industries were subsequently dismantled or destroyed.   The Trians adopted a policy of non-intervention toward the Feln population in Sibra, monitoring borders but refraining from further engagement or trade. The Sibran military was dissolved, and the Trians ceased active involvement with The Coalition that had supported them during the war, choosing instead to focus on building an independent Trian nation. Relations with Sibra have since remained distant, with borders closely monitored.

Current Status

As of 109 FTE (seventy years after the activation of the planetary shield), contemporary developments within Sibra are not widely reported among the broader Trian population. Documentation on current events in Sibra is limited, and dealings with the Feln population tend to be discreet, as general sentiment toward the Feln remains unfavorable across Tria.
