Likaina
Likaina is the Celestial of leadership. Although she rarely appears in other Celestial legends, she has a dedicated following on her own home planet.
By Likaina's decree, a new government was set in place on Estea. She insisted on equal opportunities for all and managed decisions herself. After only five years, she and her friend disappeared to a palace in the wilderness and allowed the new government to stand on its own, promising to return if she was called on or needed.
Likaina's part in the Celestial War is rarely remarked on. It is known that she took a large army from Estea with her, but unknown how many of them survived. Following the war, Likaina returned to Estea and remained there. Her friend, now an Eternal, stayed with her, and the two have been honored as gods in the memory of their people.
Stop. The battle is over. Our people are safe. The leaders are dead, I have killed them. Now gather the prisoners and bring them here. Do not touch the children, regardless of where they are from! I will not see you become the people we swore to overthrow.
History
Likaina's story is found in the Tales of the Celestials as well as on her home planet. From a combination of these two sources, the closest thing to the truth can be cobbled together. Likaina is one of the few Celestials who is completely open about her origins and past. She sees no point in hiding the truth unless it is smarter to lie. Likaina was born on the planet of Estea to a family with multiple children. Estea was governed by a strict oligarchy with a large slave class. Likaina's family was enslaved. The future Celestial grew up in this environment, suffering under the rule of the government with no hope for freedom or happiness. Likaina was both intelligent and driven, and as she grew, she developed a simmering hatred for the people who had caused her people so much pain.Likaina learned how to fight and began to teach other slaves and win enforcers to her side. By the time she was twenty-one, Likaina had amassed a secret army that bided its time and planned for a devastating rebellion. Her plan was disrupted when her closest friend, a young man named Viver or River, was captured by the planet's rulers and Likaina was forced to launch her rebellion early. Her forces took the government by surprise and defeated them, albeit with difficulty. Likaina defeated the council herself and emerged from the building with her rescued friend by her side, declaring the battle over and claiming she had been made a god.
At some point after this, Likaina was discovered by other Celestials, although it is unknown which ones exactly. She began to cycle in Celestial circles, although her history prevented her from truly becoming friends with any of the current Celestials. As time passed and more Celestials emerged, she started to socialize with Quinn and William, other tacticians and strategists. Because of her association with these two Dark Celestials, some believe she fought in the Celestial War on their side.
I didn't particularly like other Celestials at first. Most second generations were born Celestials, you know. Few of them understood what I had experienced. Turina was alright, I suppose. But it was only when Avasvaren appeared that things got interesting.
Magic & Powers
Likaina is known more for her strategy, courage, and leadership than anything else. However, she does still have magic. The majority of her powers are rooted in mental magic, such as empathy, telepathy, and knowledge, but she also has teleportation, spellcasting, and kinetic magic that allows her to create weapons from nothing.

Appearance & Renderings
Likaina is a slightly taller-than-average young woman, about twenty-one to twenty-five years old, with dark skin, long dark hair, and dark blue eyes. She is often dressed in armor of unknown make and metal and sometimes in loose, flowing gowns that leave her arms and neck free. Her hair is always styled in hundreds of tiny braids that sway around her arms and are pulled up when she fights. Likaina is known to have vicious scars on her back and legs, although they have faded into faint marks. Images and statues of Likaina are common on Estea. The capital city has a massive statue of the Celestial standing over the body of an official, holding a spear in her hand. Her friend River/Viver is often drawn beside her in more relaxed settings. Likaina is usually pictured in a battle or negotiation. Her usual weapon is a spear. She has only been drawn with other Celestials once, at a table with Quinn, William, Avasvaren, Herrick, and Rachel. Three of the above Celestials are listed as Dark Celestials. Why are you afraid? You've proven yourself over and over. Your group will follow you wherever you go. Bad things happen because people with bad intentions have power. You're stronger than them. You have power too. Do something with it.
