Founding of the Squads

The Dwarven Army is made up of ten squads of elite soldiers, each led by a Dwarven General. Overtime, each Squad has gained a purpose for being, some different from their original founding goal, while others have remained resolute in their duties. It has become rare for one to find those asking for new Squads to be made, as much of Dwarven society has grown complacent with what they have.   Below are the years each squad was founded, who founded them, and why. Most of the founders were the first General of their Squads, with the exception of Dorbo, who was a General of the Orange Phoenixes, but was the creator of the Black Boars as he started the Black Boars Project and performed the experiments on them to turn them into Super Soldiers.

  • Founded to: Stop Impak Daxur and Bortan's forces from taking over Ebreichzell.
• Blue Devils
  • Founded in: -1769
  • Founded by: Bramnom
  • Founded to: Keep the Dark Elves and Under Gnomes under control in their caves and from causing trouble outside.
• Green Ghosts
  • Founded in: -1688
  • Founded by: Therdus
  • Founded to: Stop Meiriris Nerifir's Elven invasion of Dwarven Territory.
• White Wolves
  • Founded in: -1555
  • Founded by: Rotmar
  • Founded to: Keep the Temple of Hadur safe from Goblins and also protect the residents in the mountains.
• Violet Vipers
  • Founded in: -940
  • Founded by: Myrnys
  • Founded to: Prevent Halflings from sneaking into Dwarven Territory.
• Silver Angels
  • Founded in: -800
  • Founded by: Adkum
  • Founded to: Stop Wallis Nalo in the War of the Beards. Adkum initially created the squad to retire from fighting Elves, but when Ironforge went under siege, his forces became the main weapon against Nalo's invasion.
• Golden Automatons
  • Founded in: -786
  • Founded by: Byltyn
  • Founded to: Provide supplies for the army during the War of the Beards, as Wallis Nalo was running them low.
• Yellow Hornets
  • Founded in: -760
  • Founded by: Gimmek
  • Founded to: Counteract Arazion Nerifir's stealthy attacks during the War of the Beards.
• Orange Phoenixes
  • Founded in: -656
  • Founded by: Kaitra
  • Founded to: Study Magic after the Magic College was opened to all by Tobor Tuldad and Dwarves were allowed in by Iorkul Kricel. General Kaitra graduated in -656 and immediately started the Squad to pass her teachings on.
• Black Boars
  • Founded in: 9
  • Founded by: Dorbo
  • Founded to: Create a soldier who could defeat Gellark Lionrage.
  • Officially Unveiled to the Public in 449 with Corporal Ironforge.
