History

Backstory

Stiboule was born the fourth child in a line of twelve to the Souplet family, who had managed axe beak stables for generations.   His parents never showed him affection, and he grew up feeling unloved and underestimated. As an adult, he became a home burrower, crafting gnome burrows in his hometown. Despite his rough beginnings, he found love and saved enough coin for a beautiful wedding.   One day, he took his bride-to-be to a romantic vineyard by a waterfall to propose. Tragically, she slipped, fell off the cliff, and died. Heartbroken, Stiboule returned to the burrow he had built for them, only to find it flooded and partially caved in.   Devastated, he gathered his savings, bought a huge backpack, and journeyed west with no destination in mind.   After years of wandering, Stiboule stumbled upon a vast jungle where he met Nidalee, a druid of the jungle. Under her mentorship, he learned the ways of the wild, embracing the path of a jungle druid. For years, he found solace among the trees and creatures of the jungle.   However, his peace was shattered when mercenaries working with the Magpies captured him. Sold into slavery, Stiboule endured a decade of captivity before escaping by convincing cave bears to devour his captors.

Adventure

Returning to adventuring, Stiboule faced constant abandonment by his party members. Eventually, he found a reliable group, and together they embarked on numerous shenanigans:
  • They accidentally burned down a riverside bar.
  • Stiboule befriended an anti-drug spokes-rat.
  • They harassed a boneclaw by summoning eight constrictor snakes.
  • Stiboule raised and awakened a bonsai treant named Stiboule Jr.
  • He became a werewolf after consuming candies laced with werewolf blood.
  Unpredictable and chaotic, Stiboule also:
  • Sneaked into a noble’s villa to steal diamonds for no reason.
  • Declared himself the King of the Sewers.
Ultimately met his end, stabbed to death by his best friend who was possessed by a parasite of the Demonlord Tal Iss.

After the campaign

Even in death, Stiboule's story did not end. He cheated death by outsmarting Vanadon-Necroth, the God of Passage, and escaped the afterlife. Freed from death's grasp, Stiboule ventured to the domain of Brandobaris, the God of Adventure and Thievery.   With his trademark charm, he befriended Brandobaris through cookies and outrageous stories, ensuring his legend lived on beyond the mortal realm.
