Hanged-Vanu Day

Now celebrated each year, this celebration represents the day Vanumoke wrath was unleashed, It is said that the celebration ward of bad spirit, plotters, and tricksters, and that by dedicating this day to the god Vanumoke, he won't come back on the material plane to unleash his wrath.   Despite Vanumoke's death, the celebration has carried on as a cultural event. Some dedicating this days to Valhir or to Ioa.   On this day, celebrants gather in town squares and central plazas to partake in a raucous water fight meant to purify each others.
