Declaration of the Nordradanic Union

With the integration of two of the oldest and most powerful Nordradanic kingdoms with the Crown of Aerluen, High Queen Marie I declared the creation of a new Nordradanic Union, creating the first unified state in Nordradania since the Retreat of the Reymal Empire.

While the church of Kol was in disarray amidst the great Betrayal of Triune IX and the subsequent Reymal invasion of Atarria and Didelia, the throne of Bestane passed to Queen Marie after the death of her great-grandfather, Badgerlord Baldric V. Though no great lover of the Reymal, nor anything but a true believer in the Church, Queen Marie nonetheless ruthlessly pressed in her advantage. As the monarch now in possession of the largest armies in Nordradania, she secured an agreement with the other Nordradanic Kingdoms: the Northern Alliance would be replaced by a new Nordranic Union bound together by a single monarch with immense wartime powers, who nonetheless would leave the other members of the Union a great deal of latitude in their own affairs. Faced with little choice, the kingdoms agreed to the terms, and further recognized the legitimacy of the Aerluenic rulership of Ortains. Only then did the new High Queen lead her armies in pushing the Empire back out of Nordradania. With the traitorous king of Didelia having fled across the Eldar Flow, High Queen Marie was able to once again use her political acumen to persuade the merchants of Didelia to declare her queen as well.   Rymat, and Datagnic Successor States join the Union
