Personal history

Until 7378, Yngvild lived a simple life in the far northern reaches of Arstol. A simple farmer and part-time fisherman, he didn't have or want much from life, other than his wife and son--his pride and joy. This changed when a dragon came down out of the mountains and destroyed his home village of Ardheim while he was at market. His wife slain and his son missing, he did the only thing he thought he could. Taking a hammer from the ruined blacksmith's, his grandfather's axe, and chain mail from a fallen guard, he set off on a quest to rescue his son.   Despite years of failure, he continued on, finding work as a thug and mercenary as needed to finance his search for his son. In 7384, he was hired alongside the other members of the Wheatlon party to escort refugees away from the conflict zone along the Imperial/Elvish border. This lead to a series of adventures which saw Dovkaal restored to his throne--and Yngvild finding his son, who had become a powerful Eldritch Knight in the service of the Queen of Nevaris.   After Dovkaal's victory, Yngvild retired to Tayhart with his reward, where he lives in a fine townhouse in the upper district and frequently serves family dinner with his son, and daughter-in-law, Queen Santia d'Olivera. He spends his days fishing on Lake Nevar, and his nights telling tales of his past adventures in the taverns of Tayhart.
